Sola Wear began with a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear.

Not because there wasn't enough — but because none of it felt right anymore. Too stiff. Too loud. Too obviously trying. And somewhere in the back, three pieces worn on repeat because they were the only ones that actually felt like you.

We named it Sola after the light — the kind that softens a room without ever announcing itself. That's how we think good clothes should work. Quietly. Confidently. Without asking for attention.

We're based in Britain, and we design for the way people here actually live.

Our Story

It started with a returns pile.

Between us we'd sent back more clothes than we'd kept. Beautiful online, disappointing in the hand. Shoulders cut for someone else entirely. Fabric that photographed like linen and arrived like paper. Sizing that made no sense at all.

We weren't asking for much. Well-made basics. Honest fabric. A shirt that still looks like a shirt after the tenth wash.

So we stopped waiting for the high street to catch up, and started building the wardrobe we'd been describing to each other for years.

One piece at a time. Nothing we wouldn't wear ourselves.

Every item in the Sola Wear collection has to pass a single test: would we still reach for this in two years?
